Excel2007 - More columns when importing ascii file?
 

When importing an ascii (.txt) file in Excel 2007 I am still limited to the
256 column limit that of Excel 2003.
How can I import my full data set?

You have to change the settings as under.

Click on Office ButtonExcel OptionsSaveSelect Excel Workbooks(*.xlsx)
(from the first dropdown box)

Thank you for the response, However after changing the settings as indicated
below, when importing the data, I am still limited to 256 columns??
Any other ideas?
