Default number format
 

I have just transferred to Excel2007.
On a file I had set up in a previous version the default number setting has
changed to date format instead of general. Is there a setting to change that
default back.
All cells not sepcifically formatted now appear as date which is a real pain!!
When I start a new file it is in general by default.
