Excel 2002: How to find only the required data in a list ?

Dear Sir,

I encounter some problem in using €śFind and Replace€ť function.

I highlight A1: A7 and type in €śBTH100€ť to search the listing.

When I click next for 6 times the cursor goes to A1, follow by A2, A3,A4 and
A5 and finally returns to A1.

In my opinion, €śBHT100€ť only occur twice in the listing, the cursor should
only goes to cell A1 follow by A5 and finally return to A1 again.

It should not go to other cells whereby its first six characters are BHT100
because all those references are diiferent from what I key to search at the
menu.

A
1 BTH100
2 BTH1006
3 BTH10086
4 BTH100065
5 BTH100
6 BTH206
7 BTH408

May I know how to make this function to do the right thing?

Thanks

Low

You really want to match the *exact contents* of the cell, instead of
matching any cell that *contains* BTH100.

In the Find and Replace window.....
CHECK: Match entire cell contents

That should fix your problem....
Does it?
