Why cant I save as a text file in excel?
I'm trying to export data from a spreadsheet so it can be used in a simple
script written in Octave. I figured the easiest way to do this would be to save the file as CSV or something similar. Excel help says that I should be able to select delimited text file from the save as file type drop down menu. Its not there. I can only select Excel Workbook .xls XML Spreadsheet XML data Single file webpage Web page Template Thanks |

There's a scroll bar to the right of that list.
It looks like you didn't scroll down to find the rest of the list. Matt reynolds wrote: I'm trying to export data from a spreadsheet so it can be used in a simple script written in Octave.
