How do I switch punctuation from commas to points?

I have Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and I want Excel to recognize and use
points with numbers and calculations instead of commas. Can anyone help?

Office Button (Top left)Excel OptionsAdvancedDecimal separator. If grayed out, uncheck Use System Separators first.
