Is there is any way to apply password to a folder instead of each files.

Not using anything built into excel.
This is more of an operating system question. If you're using windows, you may want to post to a windows newsgroup. Include the version of windows you're running, how you're logged on (as an admin or as a user) and where the folder resides (network share or local folder). Thanks for the info.
Maybe the OP can use a zip file and password protect that instead??? Yes, that's what I'd do. I've never seen that in WinXP Home either. But maybe we'er just bad "lookers".
