Hyperlinks unable to open

I have a user who is inserting Hyperlinks into a spreadsheet (INSERT
Hyperlink) and trying to link to files on a shared network drive (S: Drive).

When clicking on the link, a prompt appears saying "unable to open link".

Links pointing to a personal drive work fine. And the document on the S:
drive opens fine if going to File open.

any ideas?

Hyperlinks unable to open

Even inserting the function results in the "unable to open" error
