Save an embedded workbook in PPT

I have recieved a powerpoint presentation with embedded excel charts, but not
the workbook. You can view the excel book, cells, etc, but not save it.
Crashes a lot too if you mess with it.

Any way to save and therefore use the embedded excel book?

Thanx

Hi Jose,

I pretty sure if you save the file to your hard drive, then open it with
Powerpoint and do a 'Save as' and change the file type to
Web page(html, htm) then the file will be split into all of it's
components parts. You can then delete all the extra stuff
and just keep what you want.

If that doesn't work you may be better off posting in a Powerpoint
Newsgroup.

I should add that the component parts get placed in a new subfolder
in the directory where you save them.
