Default Insert below last row instead of above

I know how to and often want to insert a row BELOW the last row instead of
above it. I keep thinking there must be a simple way to do this. I have put
in dummy rows, but that is cumbersome and I want other people to use the
workbook I am working on now. This is frustrating. Also, 2nd question, in
case you tell me to insert programming, I often see responses that say insert
a module, but I don't know how to do that and could not find anything on MS
Help. Thanks for your help.

Default Insert below last row instead of above

If it is the last row, why would you want to insert a row below that?

Should already be blank rows below "last row".

But.........this macro will insert a row below last filled cell in the
activecolumn.

Sub insert_row()
ActiveSheet.Cells(Rows.Count, ActiveCell.Column).End(xlUp) _
.Offset(1, 0).EntireRow.Insert
End Sub

If not familiar with VBA and macros, see David McRitchie's site for more on
"getting started".

In the meantime..........

First...create a backup copy of your original workbook.

To create a General Module, hit ALT + F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor.

Hit CRTL + r to open Project Explorer.

Find your workbook/project and select it.

Right-click and InsertModule. Paste the code in there. Save the
workbook and hit ALT + Q to return to your workbook.

Run or edit the macro by going to ToolMacroMacros.

You can also assign this macro to a button or a shortcut key combo.
