How can I add a new column to calculate average of other column in data field?

Pivot table, add new column for average
 

Show the pivottable wizard and drag that field to the pivottable data area.

Double click on that grey icon and choose Average.

Maybe add a new field to the row field area???

Or add a new field to the data field area, but move it up to where you want it.

(All done through the pivottable wizard)
