I am using Vlookup to find the same item number in 2 seperate workbooks, and
would like the return to be based in the G row. When I enter 7 as the col_index_num, I am getting a #REF! error. The data I am looking to return is text, and it was copied from a pivot table report. I tried copying everything into a new workbook, putting the 2 sheets I am comparing into separte worksheets within the workbook, thinking it had something to do with the pivot table or sperate workbooks, but I am still getting the same error. Also tried formatting the row I am trying to get as a return as text, still nothing. Any ideas where my problem is? As I walk-around, I am using an IF statement to lookup the text, but it seems like Vlookup alone should be able to do this without the additional work, I am using the correct function for what I want to do? Thanks, Jacky D. |
