Quicktime Conflict

Does anyone know if Microsoft has a patch for making Excel in Office 2003
compatible with the latest version of Quicktime (or vice versa?) I had to
uninstall the latest Quicktime because it was causing Excel to malfunction.
Is anyone else aware of this problem?
