macro lost

Is there a way to search for a macro. I had saved a workbook with a macro
and when I pulled in another text file and renamed it the same then replaced
when it asked if I wanted to replace, but now the macro is not with the new
workbook. Is it lost or can it be retrieved, it is not in the macro list.
