Excel won't remember my clipboard settings. I uncheck "show office clipboard
automatically" and "show Office clipboard with Control C pressed twice" and I check "collect without showing office clipboard." Whenever I close Excel and re-open it, "show office clipboard automatically" is checked again, so the clipboard shows whenever I try to copy. How can I make it remember my settings from session to session? |

Can't tell from your description, but the clipboard is ignored by
Excel unless you copied to the clipboard AFTER opening Excel. If that is the problem you could paste into Notepad and recopy once Excel is reopened. -- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "bpschultz" wrote in message ... Thanks for the response. I am using the clipboard within Excel...trying to
copy formulas from one cell to another. Whenever I do it for the first time, the clipboard is visible and I have to set it not to appear (as described in my original post). The clipboard won't appear for the remainder of that Excel session. Once Excel has been closed, those settings are lost. Consequently, the next time I open Excel, the clipboard re-appears and I have to go the the same process again. I don't have this problem on my 3 other computers that also run Windows XP service pack 2 and are identically configured to the 4th machine which is experiencing this problem.
