Excel problem
I have just started a new job and am using excel more and more (not an excel
expert). Within Word I have created lots of macros some complicated VBA ones and I want to recreate them in Excel (print macros etc). I have just done a simple macro and want to put it in a startup excel doc but when I go into customise, comands, macros my macro is not there to drag to my toolbar - any ideas anyone Many thanks Addy |

Ensure that the macro is created/saved in a standard module. This will expose
it to be added to the toolbar HTH "addy" wrote: I have just started a new job and am using excel more and more (not an excel expert). What do you mean by a standard module. The macro is in module1 is that what
you mean? but it still doesn't appear in customise, commands, macros "steve_doc" wrote: Ensure that the macro is created/saved in a standard module. It may be easier initially to customize the toolbar by hand. But with just a
few macros, it can get more difficult. Your life will become much simpler if you include code to create the toolbar when the workbook is opened and include code to destroy the toolbar when the workbook is closed. For additions to the worksheet menu bar, I really like the way John Walkenbach does it in his menumaker workbook: http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/tips/tip53.htm Here's how I do it when I want a toolbar: http://www.contextures.com/xlToolbar02.html (from Debra Dalgleish's site) And if you think that you're ever going to share this workbook with others, don't use a file name of personal.xls. Use something like AddyUtils.xls. You don't want to take a chance that any other user is already using that personal.xls name. addy wrote: I have just started a new job and am using excel more and more (not an excel expert).
