In Excel 2007, how can you create a desktop shortcut for a file?
I want to create a desktop shortcut for a frequently used file. In Excel
2007, there is no "send to desktop" feautre like Excel 2003. How do I do it???? |

In Excel 2007, how can you create a desktop shortcut for a file?
Place the target Excel sheet in your my documents, right click and create a
ICON then right click and send it to the desk top, right click at the desk top and on the Properties tab (Change Icon) and you get a selection of Icons -- This is the method I use and I am sure their are others. Just curious......... Where in Excel 2003 do you find a "send to desktop" feature? Inside the File|Open or File|SaveAs dialogs is one spot.

In Excel 2007, how can you create a desktop shortcut for a file?
Or just copy the file, right click the desktop, and choose Paste Shortcut.
