Excel 2007 does not save formula
I opened an Excel 2000 workbook in Excel 2007 and did a Save As 97-2003 and
applied a different name. I got the warning from the compatability checker even though I didn't change anything. When I opened the new workbook some of the formulas were gone. One of them was =MROUND(E15/E14,0.25). This is a simple formula that should work with all versions. Why did Excel 2007 strip it out? Also lost some of the formatting. I don't understand why it deletes info that was created in a previous version. Any ideas? Thanks in advance |

Probably because MROUND is part of the ATP (Analysis ToolPak) which gets
installed by default by 2007 I believe, but not in earlier versions. Just another reason not to use functions from the ATP when possible What kind of rounding do you do, AFAIK it is possible to get the same result by tweaking the regular ROUND function -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom "Alison J" wrote in message ... Funny, I tried to reproduce your problem but couldn't. The MROUND formula
survived the trip to Excel 2007 and back to Excel 2000. -- Jim "Alison J" wrote in message ... I opened an Excel 2000 workbook in Excel 2007 and did a Save As 97-2003 and applied a different name.
