On an excel spread sheet cell how do install the down arrow that will enable
me to sort the contents of the cell in ascending or descending order?

I think you mean the DataFilterAutofilter arrows.

Excel version 2003 has the Sort Option in these dropdowns.

DataSort on its own does not have dropdown arrows.
