I have used an excel workbook for a couple of years with no problems but it
has now decided to print only on portrait although the print settings are for
landscape - any anwers?

Just guesses...

Do you have a macro that changes the orientation before it prints?

Any chance that something bad is happening at the printer? If you change to a
different printer, do you get what you want? (Have you checked that printer's
settings?)

It was something to do with the printer, just tested it on another printer
and everything was ok, have reloaded the drivers which has sorted the problem
out.
