Combobox drop down
 

Help please

I have a userform combobox that is linked to other sheet.
I want to find a way so that when an item is selected from this drop
down menu, it returns a second list which I have in another sheet.

EXAMPLE: I click on the combobox to have the drop down list show. From this
drop down list, I want to be able to click on one of the items it has to
offer. Now the problem is: Once I click on this Item how do I make it so that
it shows a secondary list .

Any Help greatly appreciated

A combobox is linked to a "ListFillRange" which is in general a fixed area,
for example "A1:A5". To be able to have a second drop down box only show the
relevant items based on a first combobox, I suggest that you make the values
in range that is used for the lookup for the second "ListFillRange" variable.

One solution (out of many) : Set a LinkedCell for your first ComboBox. The
value in this cell is set by selecting a value in your (First) Combobox. In
this example cell B1.
Next you need a table that has all the possible values of your first Combobx
in the top row, and below that per value all values that you want to show in
your second combobox. In this example, this table is in the area C1 to F5.

Now, with a Match or Lookup, find the selected value in the first Combobox
(ie the value in cell B1) in the first row of the table (C1 - F1). For
example in cell B2 ; Match(B1,C1:F1,False)
Based on cell B2, the values in column A can be set. A1 = offset(C2,0,$B$2)
and copy downwards.
With the above the values in A1:A5 will change based on the selection in the
first combobox, and therefore the values in the second dropdown box.
