How many letters? Do you have any of the letters filled in due to
"cross words"?

there are 9 letters and the last letter in th word is r and the 5 letter is s
and the first letter i think is s

I would call it a "reference" cell but that doesn't fit with your specs.

Besides "reference", another possible 9-letter word is "precedent",
arguably.

But of course, neither seems to fit with your "cross words". I wonder
if your "cross words" are incorrect.

What are the clues for the "cross words" that you have? What are your
answers? And which letter (position number) of each "cross word"
intersects the 9-letter word for "what is a cell called in a
calculation"?

Needless to say, this is not the most efficient way to do a crossword
puzzle. But I like puzzles ;-).
