Lock cell

how can i lock only one cell in my worskeet???

Dave Peterson

Lock cell

Select all the cells
format|cells|protection tab|check unlocked
select just the single cell you want locked
format|cells|protection tab|check locked

And for that locked cell to be treated as locked, you'll need to protect the
worksheet:
tools|protection|protect sheet

(be aware that worksheet protection is easily broken--don't rely on this to
protect your intellectual property.)

Lock cell

Select the whole sheet.
Format/ Cells/ Protection/ remove the tick mark from Locked.

Select the cell you want to lock, same process but tick Locked.

Tools/ Protection/ protect the worksheet.
