Why can't I format a cell that already contains data?
I have a page of data in Excel 2003 that I would like to insert borders to
improve appearance, however the Cell... dropdown menu under Format doesn't appear except on unused cells. What am I doing wrong? -- Jim |

It sounds as if your sheet may be protected?
