How to add a regression line to an XY scatter plot
 

I've tried everything I can think of. This is actually quite simple in Sigma
Plot and Cricket Graph but I can't seem to find a way to do this in Excel.
Could someone please direct me in how to add a simple regression line to an
existing XY scatter plot?

In the chart, use the chart menu/ Add Trendline.

Also right click on the series, and use Add Trendline from the pop up menu.
