Excel 2007 Backup files

How do I stop Excel 2007 from automatically making backup files? I cannot
find an option to turn it off.

The "Always create backup" option is on the Save As, Tools, General Options
dialog. This is the same as previous versions.

Excel 2007 Backup files

Thanks! I don't know how it was turned on when I moved from Excel 2003 to
2007. As I never turned it on, I'm guessing that it was set as a default by
our system administrator.

Thanks

Hi! Jim,
Thank a lot. I was looking all the other options. I was able to make same scenario with word but excel was drving me nuts. I never think that MS does have general option hidden under Save As -- Tools.

Thanks

Excel 2007 Backup files

Hi Jim

Actually on my copy it isn't! And I have been tearing my hair out - in Save
As, I don't have a Tools option like I did on Excel 2003 - is this something
that should be turned on somewhere?

Thanks
