Cell locking and program freezing
 

Using a Dell Latitude D600. Others have the same experience with that lap
top. Very often on opening an excel file, the cell at which the mouse is
pointed locks and any attempt to move it results in the area being covered
like when you are selecting a range. The program also freezes and I have to
use task manager to close it
