Automatic Removal of 0's in front of data
Hello there,
I need to input some data into excel, but whenever I type in for example, 00000010, excel will automatically remove all the 0's in front of the 10. However, I actually need to display those 0's, is there any way of changing the settings not to remove them? I've searched throughout the toolbars and haven't had any luck changing the settings, hopefully someone out there may know the answer! Thank you for your time and advice, James |

Actually there are three ways:
1. put an apostrophe (single quote) before the numbers as you type 2. format the cell to Text before you type 3. format the cell to Custom 00000000 -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200725 |
