Read-Only Limits

I currently have a spreadsheet out on our network, does excel limit the
number of people that can open a spreadsheet in read-only mode? I am trying
to figure out if these is an Excel limit or a network limit.

Any ideas?

Read-Only Limits

hi,
in xl help, type the word specifications. this list the limits of excel.
it didn't say anything about limits on the number of people who can open a
file read- only but under workgroup specs, it did say that the number of
people who can share a workbook is limited to 256. but opening read only and
sharing are two different things. I suspect there is no limit but since it
doen't say specificlly, that is just a guess.

Thank you for your response, I did check the help and did see that exact
information but I was just curious about the read-only. I will have to talk
to Network.
