Combine text and cells
I have imported a report from an accounting program using Import External
Data. When setting up the columns, it messes up the alignment of the titles at the top and number totals at the bottom. When I select the cells to merge them it will only keep the info in the far left cell. Any easy fixes? Example: A B C Accou ting Repo rt |

You should be able to format the way the data is parsed before you bring it into Excel. When you go to DataImport External Data what are your next steps? Database query or Web query? There should be an Options button where you can set up the import format.
