I only want to change the formatting of one word in an Excel cell
I've done this on other worksheets but it won't work on this new one.
I have several words entered into an Excel cell. I want to make only one of the words BOLD and I want to change the font of all others. Excel keeps converting all characters in the cell. |

Select the cell, highlight the word you want bold in the formula bar and then
select bold. Mike "Mark B" wrote: I've done this on other worksheets but it won't work on this new one. I have several words entered into an Excel cell. I want to make only one of the words BOLD and I want to change the font of all others. Excel keeps converting all characters in the cell. |
I only want to change the formatting of one word in an Excel c

problem. The cell format was a custom format using a numerical formating. Once I changed this to General, I was able to do the formatting word by word.
