Formulas showing on worksheet
 

Pls help!

My formulas are showing on my worksheet and not showing the result

It is not the audit function (Cntrl+`).

For example:
A1 2
A2 2
A3 =A1+A2

A3 shows =A1+A2 and not 4

Thoughts?

go to 'tools'....'options'....'view tab' and make sure formulas does not have
a check mark in the box beside it.

It gets more bizarre. Some of the cells in the spreadsheet will take a
formula, some won't. The 'Formulas' box does not have a check mark.

See if the cell is formatted as text, if so change it to either general or
number

Some of your cells were text before you entered the formula. Format them all as General AND re-enter the formulas. This can easily
be done by Finding and replacing all "=" by "=".
