How to email protected file.

Using XL2003 and OL2003.
I'm aware (because I checked the Knowledge Base) that you can't email an
Excel file that's protected, but my user wants to. He's designed a nice
protected spreadsheet all formatted with locked and unlocked cells for his
team to use as a reporting tool. If it's emailed from XL it fails because of
the protection. He could email it as an attachment but that defeats the
purpose. If he copies/inserts/embeds the table into an Outlook message it's
either completely protected or completely unprotected depending on which
method is used. Is there a way to do this? I do not think I'm missing
anything obvious, but feel free to rub my nose in it if I am.

How to email protected file.

Hi Jonathan589

You can make a macro button on the sheet to mail instead of the manual way.
In the code you can unnprotect the sheet run the mail code and protect the sheet

Ron, Thank you for your fast response. I will do what you suggested. I'm glad
I wasn't missing something obvious.
