Bug with pivot tables corrupting in Excel 2007
I summarise our time recording data (11000 rows, 1.2MB) with a simple pivot
table. On 3 separate occasions with 3 different cuts of the data it has corrupted. Symptoms: All OK when you create the pivot table and save as .xlsx. But when you next open the file you get a message: "Excel found unreadable content". Recovery removes the pivot table! Looks like http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929766/en-us but I can't see where to remove references to Current Time Member as it advises. I am not connected to SSAS though the data came from SRS I do add Calculated Fields to the Pivot table - and would like to keep doing so Is this the known bug or a new one? -- Mike |

BTW - the workaround seems to be saving as .xls ie the old format
