Validation of Percentages Does Not Appear To Work
Dear MVPs,
Thank you for your time. I hope you can help. I have recently started using the Data Validation Function. It works great for letters and general numbers but whenever I try with percentages it seems to get confused. I have the cell formatted as a percentage. Then I validate for a whole number from 0 to 100. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it gives me a big number as though I should have used decimals from 0 to 1. It works fine with whole numbers but then a subsequent calculation doesn't work because it is looking for a percentage. Any suggestions? Vincent |

Use decimals instead, 0.01 to 1.0
