Office Open XML Format message

I have one workbook that continually brings up a message when I close it,
asking if I want to convert it to an Office Open XML Format. If I select
Yes, and I want to save it as suggested, as an .XLSX file, it then tells me
that it is trying to save to a macro-free workbook, but it can't because it
contains a VB project.

Is this 2007 version really that stupid? Why suggest something and then not
be able to complete the task? From reading about the different formats, I
understand that I need to save as an XLSM.

Then, if I change the format to an .XLSM, and reopen, I can't run any
macros! The Security warning tells me that Macros have been disabled and
the only option is "Help protect me from unknown content (recommended).
Yet my Macro Settings is showing that the Enable all macros (not
recommended.......) is selected, as well as the Trust access to the VBA
project.....
Even if I use the Convert feature from the main Menu I have the same problem
with not being able to run any macros.

I have to keep all my workbooks in the previous version, due to this
problem. But only the one workbook gives me that message, etc., I described
above.

Could someone help me to correct this latter problem, and maybe, explain the
first problem?

Rob
