How do I format a cell where I can have a number in the upper left corner and
another number in the lower right hand corner and a solid line from the upper right hand corner to the lower left hand corner. Please help. |

You cannot format a cell in that manner in Excel.
The best you can do is use forward or backward slash and possibly superscript and subscript for TEXT data. Example of subscript (superscript is similar) in http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel...tm#ChemNDigits You can generate a picture and lock that to the cell not efficient. --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "CB" wrote in message ... As a workaround you could place a border on the cell with a diagonal border line across it. Then manipulate the placement of numbers with spaces to get the appearance you want. Too much work in my estimation.
