Edit-Links Option not available
I have a workbook in which many sheets contain links to one particular
sheet. I now want to remove those links quickly and delete that sheet. When I go to the Edit menu however, the Links... option is greyed out and I can't click it. Any idea why this is? I don't want to use the Copy Paste Special Values method to remove the links as this takes too much time. |

Edit|Links is used with external links--links to different workbooks--not
different worksheets within the same workbook. Maybe you could do some edit|Finds and look for the worksheet name in formulas. You may find a few false positives if the worksheet name isn't unique, though. wrote: I have a workbook in which many sheets contain links to one particular sheet. Another option you may want to try (against a copy of your workbook???)
Open the copy of the workbook Move that workbook to a new workbook (and save that workbook as a new name). Now your links to that worksheet are external and you can use Edit|Links. wrote: I have a workbook in which many sheets contain links to one particular sheet.
