Select which cell enter will place the cursor

Is there a way to select which cell the cursor will highlight when you hit
enter?
I have only a few cells in a worksheet which get data, the rest are just
placeholders. Can you select that when you hit enter it will go to the next
available input cell?
Thanks!

Select which cell enter will place the cursor

You could:
1) use Format Cells and Unlock the required cells
then 2) Protect the sheet specifying that only unlocked cells can be
'visited (only in XL 2003 and 2007 I believe)
best wishes

You can select the cells that you want to use, then do
formatcellsprotection and deselect locked, then protect the sheet and
make sure that select locked cells is not checked and select unlocked cells
is checked.
