i would like to know how to keep the first row, in excel, in place as you
scroll down the page for reference.

Select cell A2 and then Window - Freeze panes.

Place the cursor in cell A2, go to Window on the toolbar and select freeze
panes, to remove it go back to the toolbar and select unfreeze panes.

1. Click the cell in the second row of under cloumn A.
2. On the Windows menu, click the Freeze Panes.
