Default acSpreadsheetTypeExcel

in VBA you get import or export options for spreadsheets - in 2003 it gives
options such as 'acSpreadsheetTypeExcel5' whereas in v97 - it would just give
the version number. What is the equivalent spreadsheet type in 2003 for
importing v97 spreadsheets?

Myrna

Between version 5.0 there were versions 7.0 and 7.0a which were known as Excel
95

Excel 97 is version 8

No answer from me for the OP's question.

Thanks for jogging my memory. I know that XL2003 is v 11, and counting
backwards, I saw I was "off by 1". I forgot about XL95.
