Convert raw planning data into a 'calendar type' view

I need to convert an information dump from a planning system my team uses
into an excel 'calendar type' view. The information dump into excel comprises
a column with an individuals name, a column with the project name, a column
with the project's start date and a column with the project's finish date.

The end product needs to show each individual's name down the left hand side
of the page, the year's dates along the top of the page and the date range
for each project blocked out with the name of the project identified on the
date range. This calander type view needs to be able to be refreshed when we
update the information dump from our planning system.

Use PIVOT tables. This is the best option if you`re not able to program VBA.
