None I know of. Vista (the follow-on operating system to XP) is full of DRM (Digital Rights
Management) stuff that prevents content such as video from being copied, but I haven't heard
if it will disallow copying of files, and doubt it.

Only if you have the ability to set those permissions to prevent writing
to any media anywhere.
