excel trying to open word document
 
Hi
when opening excel it tries to open word documnets held in start up
directory and access database even if change start up directory stills
happens I have reinstalled office2000 and run full virus scan
Any Ideas

Excel will attempt to open all files in your XLSTART folder. It will also
attempt to open all files in the folder you specify with:

Tools Options... General At startup...

if the files are not Excel files you will get an error message.

The cure is to remove any files you do not wish to open.

Thank you the user had directory in alternate startup file and some
documents had recently been added to this location causing the problem I
deleted this directory problem solved
