moving values only
Is it possible to move the content of a cell without moving the associated
formating. I know about pasting values only. However, is it possible to move the number in cell in a cell by dragging it without moving the formatting, so the content takes the formating of the new cell where it is dropped. Regards Masood Alikhail Melbourne Australia |
moving values only
Masood,
You want to do this via dragging. Right-drag the source cell(s) by the edge (the normal way you move cells). You'll get a menu from which you can choose "Copy here as Values Only." This will preserve the target (cells onto which you are copying) formatting. -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com Note: Some folks prefer bottom-posting. But if you bottom-post to a reply that's already top-posted, the thread gets messy.
