Pivot Table counts an empty cell
I am counting inventory in a pivot table. I want the item to show in the
Column, but I do not want an empty cell to show in the counts, which it does now. How do I prevent empty cells from counting, but show the item itself? Thanks Dave |
Pivot Table counts an empty cell
If you're using Count as the function, then empty cells won't increase that
number. But if you have a formula in that field that evaluates to "", then the cell isn't empty and will be included in that count. In fact, if you had a formula that evaluated to "" and then converted to values, the cell is still not empty and that cell will increase the count. I like to add another field and use a formula like: =if(a2="",0,1) and then sum (not count) that field. Dave wrote: I am counting inventory in a pivot table.
