How can I purge duplicate entries in Excel
I have a large spreadsheet of name and addresses that has many duplicate
rows. Is there a way to remove duplicates without going through and checking manually? -- bootsy |
If you don't mind leaving them in the spreadsheet and just hiding them, you
can use the Data/Filter command. "Bootsy" wrote: I have a large spreadsheet of name and addresses that has many duplicate rows. Is there a way to remove duplicates without going through and checking manually? -- bootsy |

See Debra Dalgleish's site for tips on removing duplicates via Advanced Filter. Quite easy to do. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xladvfi....html#FilterUR Gord Dibben Excel MVP On Fri, 18 Feb 2005 09:11:02 -0800, Bootsy wrote: I have a large spreadsheet of name and addresses that has many duplicate rows.
