greeting
I am attempting to insert greeting into merged word letter. Everything else
is OK. Can anyone help a dummy? |

Is the greeting a merge field? If so just type it in:

Thanks - have created greeting cell, but cant make it work - will try again
and let you know. In word merge, "address" gives me choices - one is Mr. and Mrs, but when I merge, I get Mr and Mrs first name, last name. I'm doing something wrong no doubt. I thought that I had created a merge field, just as I did with Address 1,
Address2, City, State, Zip, but I still cannot make it work - just tried again. Is there another program that is more dummy friendly? "dlw" wrote: Is the greeting a merge field? Got it I think! Thanks again...had to insert "greeting" in 'more items", not
"greeting field". "dlw" wrote: Is the greeting a merge field? If so just type it in: Dear <firstname "Molly" wrote: I am attempting to insert greeting into merged word letter. Everything else is OK. Can anyone help a dummy? |
