My PC no longer has Excel installed but I do have Excel Viewer 2003. If I
do, say, a Google search and find an xls doc. I wish to open, the PC seems to try to open it in Excel and after a few seconds the screen goes white/blank. To eventually read it I have to save it as an object to the PC and Viewer will then open it. Why won't Viewer open it directly from the Google search results page? (If I search for a PowerPoint presentation in the same way, PP Viewer does open it directly and, of course, for a pdf file acrobat reader also opens it straight from the search results page!) Suggestions gratefully received please. - Thanks Sim |
