Long Delay When Saving File
Hello All,
A client I have is having an issue trying to save files. It opens all files fine but when making changes and trying to save the file it take at least 3 to 5 minutes before finishing the save. Others who use this file can save the files fine but the one client takes a long time. He was using office 2000. I upgraded him to 2003 but having the same issue. Any ideas on why this is happening and is there a fix for this other that uninstall and reinstall of the product? Other office programs save fine, just excel seems to have an issue. Using XP pro. Thanks in Advance |

A stretch, but having Journalling enabled in Microsoft Outlook can cause slow saving. Open Outlook and ToolsOptionsPreferencesJournal Options. Uncheck the Excel option. Thanks for the quick response. Sorry the program wasn't even setup for
email. I did however have it startup without email support but the excel box was not checked. Anything else I can look for? "Gord Dibben" <gorddibbATshawDOTca wrote in message ... Gord,
I have tried several of his tips with no success yet. I did notice something that I hadnt seen before. When the client tries to save the file it appears to make an additional copy next to it in the taskbar. Then when the save has eventually finishes the extra copy(?) goes away. Is this another problem? Thanks Again "Gord Dibben" <gorddibbATshawDOTca wrote in message ... Parker Have a look at Charles Williams' site.
