Y-error bar tab option not offered?
 

Hi

I am trying to place error bars in my data, and when I right click any of
the bars and choose FORMAT DATA SERIES I do not have the Y-Error Bars Option?
I have the following tabs:

1. Patterns
2. Shape
3. Data Labels
4. Series Order

Could anyone please assist me in rectifying this error.

What kind of chart (use Excel's definition, from the Chart Type dialog)?
What version of Excel?

If you're using a 3D chart type, switch to a 2D type. 3D types have many
limitations, including not supporting error bars. They also are not a good
choice for displaying data cleanly.

Thank-you. Having changed to a 2D format, the problem was overcome.
